Last stop. Dinner at Camp Washington Chili in Cincinnati.
"5-Way" chili with a coney appetizer.
And
it's
gone!
I guess we were hungry.
We found ourselves on the "Bourbon Trail" in Kentucky.
Our one and only stop was the Maker's Mark distillery near Loreto, KY. So much bourbon...so little time.
A visit to Full Moon BBQ in Birmingham, AL.
The biggest, sloppiest, and best tasting BBQ pulled pork sandwich in our solar system.
Driving through the deep South rewarded us with some enduring images.
A semi with spinners. I wonder why we haven't seen these in Detroit?
Dinner at Cochon, in the warehouse district.
I had the Oyster and Bacon sandwich, Zac had Louisiana Cochon with Turnips, Cabbage, and Cracklins.
Time to sample a local favorite.
A specialty from the lower Mississippi River tidal basin- teeming with all the essential minerals and nutrients. Bottoms up?
A treat at Cafe du Monde.
Coffee and Beignets.
